Review Process
Manuscripts received by Inquiry: Jurnal Pendidikan Agama Islam (Journal of Islamic Religious Education) will be reviewed through several stages:
1. Submitted manuscripts will be evaluated for their suitability to the journal's format, objectives and scope, and methodology (rejection if they do not meet the criteria).
2. Submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, with a maximum similarity limit of 20%. Manuscripts with high similarity will be rejected, but authors will be asked for clarification if the similarity is low.
3. Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by at least two peer reviewers. The reviewers will be blinded to the identity of the authors, and the authors will be blinded to the identity of the reviewers (double-blind peer review). The reviewers will consider the novelty of the paper, the theory used, the methods used, the results and discussion, the conclusions, and the recommendations.
4. The reviewers' notes will be discussed in an editorial meeting to decide whether the manuscript is rejected, requires major revisions, requires minor revisions, or is accepted.
5. If the decision is for revision, the author will be contacted to revise the manuscript and must be returned to the editor promptly. Manuscripts returned more than three months later will be considered new submissions. After the manuscript is revised by the author and returned to the editor, the editor will make a final decision.
